The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Brock University invites applications for a one-year Limited Term Appointment position in English-French translation (theory and praxis), Business French, and French language, at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting July 1st, 2018.

The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in French Studies and will have extensive translation experience, French language teaching experience, and publications related to their field of study. Courses taught by the successful candidate, including translation courses, will be taught in French.

In addition to teaching Translation courses, Business French, and French language, the successful candidate will also be asked to coordinate multi-section French language courses at all levels. Native or near-native fluency in French and English plus a demonstrated record of successful research and teaching are required.

Knowledge of relevant teaching methodologies, and proven expertise in the use of computer-based instructional technology are also required. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.
