The Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures at the Johns Hopkins University (http://grll.jhu.edu) seeks to hire a scholar of French specializing in the literatures and cultures of the long 19th century.

The successful candidate (rank open) will have a versatile research agenda supported by a solid publication record, a commitment to interdisciplinarity, and a record of excellence in teaching and mentoring. Sub-field open; scholarly focus on the global dimension of French in its transcultural aspects desirable.
